The Bradley Effect?
On Nov. 4th, voters will get behind that curtain, stop and think about what they’re about to do, and pick a different candidate because they can’t bring themselves to pull the lever for the other guy. This scenario is called “The W. Effect”, and it will happen all over the country; it will happen in the reddest of states-in numbers we can’t yet comprehend.
What it all comes down to, in my opinion, is a key difference between Barack Obama and John McCain: smarts. We’ve spent the last 14 years in a vicious battle over whether or not it’s a good idea to bring a brain to Washington, and finally, finally we’re warming(globally?) to the idea that havin’ a straight talkin’, fact ingnorin’, Bible thumpin’, cournty bombin’ Maverickâ„¢ perhaps ain’t the best eye-deer. In that very private moment, voters will reflect on the last eight years of George W. Bush and notice, maybe for the first time, the (R) next to John McCain’s name. And who could blame them for not realizing earlier that he’s in the same party as Dubya-he’s never mentioned, unless it’s to attempt to separate them from one another. And Cheney? Not a single mention with the exception of Tom Brokaw on Meet The Press when he tried to devalue Colin Powell’s endorsement of Barack Obama by bringing up Cheney’s endorsement of Bush/Cheney.
So I understand if Americans are confused about what party McCain belongs to…I know how un-informed the majority of the country is because I am over-informed. Sure, it makes me want to scream sometimes, but as the bumper sticker says: “If you’re not outraged, you haven’t been paying attention”. I think a lot of Americans are outraged, and I think they’re ready to take it out on someone. I think the “W. Effect©” will kick the crap out of the Bradley Effect. Especially in places like Indiana, West Virginia, the Dakotas, and (gasp) Georgia. We’ll see.

Stumble It!
Yes…let’s see what happens.
Does McCain know himself? He gets lost finding his way out sometimes …hey he IS G.W. Bush!
@eclectic, that’s interesting given that some people are saying that Repubs are gaining ground in Fl.
Katieanne is up way too early, and functional too–amazing.
Everytime I start to feel like it is going to be okay, I get this nudge saying, not so fast-these guys are not going down easy. I do find it laughable they are campaigning “you must elect me or there will be no balance of powers”…HA Balance of Powers. Fine time to drag that concept out of moth balls…;)
